For each of your patients:
- Provide 1-2 reasons for each significantly abnormal blood chemistry (CBC, CMP, cardiac markers, ABG)
- Interpret the ECG before reading the interpretation
- Interpret the CXR before reading the radiology report
We have provided links to many very high-quality, interactive web sites that focus on interpretation of various types of common studies (e.g. ECG, CXR, PFT, ABG, U/A). You are encouraged to use these for skills practice on your own or in small groups
Discussions on rounds, dedicated noon conferences, SIMPLE cases
H&Ps, team members’ evaluations. You may submit a brief summary reflection of any extra work you did to improve these skills at the end of the clerkship.
